01 How do you connect to my lighting control or HVAC control system?
A lot of ways. Some of the most common are listed below.
- A secure VPN connection to your local network followed by a remote desktop connection to the server running your smart system.
- A secure cellular connection to an isolated local network which your smart system resides on.
- A third party dual authentication solution which creates a firewall isolation between your network and smart building system, allowing for an encrypted VPN connection between your smart building system and our remote staff without risk of exposing your network to unwanted traffic.
02 How does the fault detection and building analytics system capture information?
Short answer: a hyper-smart cloud application. Long answer:
a. Fault Detection
Our team of qualified technicians will map critical points from your HVAC and lighting control systems to our fault detection software for continuous fault monitoring and detection, and we’ll also set up a secure encrypted tunnel for data to transfer between your smart building system and our fault detection software.
b. Building Analytics
Our building analytics platform is a cloud-based system that pulls data directly from your utility provider to measure energy performance at the meter level. Our fault detection software and our building analytics solution live in the same cloud environment which creates a seamless path for our building analytics dashboards to pull key statistics from our fault detection system.
03 How does fault detection work?
Essentially, we use robots who are really good at math.
Our fault detection software captures key points from your HVAC, lighting control system, and environmental conditions, and then uses a data analysis engine to continuously compare these values to predefined rules and algorithms for real-time performance management. When your system parameters do not meet predefined performance thresholds, our software will flag the event and provide our staff with a time-stamped snapshot of your system parameters for troubleshooting and to identify the approximated energy penalty associated with the event.
04 How do you collaborate in an augmented reality environment
With the help of a very fancy app.
In the app, our remote technicians and your staff can interact through video conferencing and by marking up a live view of your environment. These tools allow your staff to accurately point out issues from the field while receiving real-time direct feedback and watching illustrated instructions drawn on the environment right in front of you, right from your smart device.
